2013

So, a new year is almost here! (yes, I just rhymed. get over it. ;p)
I cannot believe another year has past already.  It's now almost been two years since my mom and I started making cakes when it feels like yesterday, haha.
There are so many things I would love to accomplish in the coming year.  I really want to get this nail art business going and it would be great to get a shop open for the bakery.
I also need to play a ton of the WiiU my parents surprised me with this christmas and finish watching the billion tv shows i started on netflix. hahaha.

Here are some new years cupcakes we made yesterday. :)

So, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a great new year!

Nail update

Here are my nails this week:

And here are zoe's: her natural nails were pretty long so i was able to file them into points. :)

Let them eat cake!

Hello! I'm blogging from work today because it's so dead right now and I'm extremely bored, haha. :) So I just wanted to share with you guys some if the cakes we made at Incredibly Edible this past week.

The first is a sewing birthday cake and the second is a dolphin volleyball cake for our local high school's volleyball team. Both of them were so much fun! And we have a ton of orders coming this weekend so next week I'll be able to show you a lot more! :))

Well I suppose I should get back to work, hahaha. Bye!

More nails...

Hi! Sorry all my posts so far are nails, hahaha. But I just gave my nails a makeover last night and my sister too! I decided to file mine to a point and paint them with this blood red polish (bus stop crimson by orly). My mom says that they are dracula nails, haha. :)

These are my sisters nails that I did for her. Polka dots, stripes, and floral!

I've been thinking about opening a nail shop on etsy. I'm really excited about getting it started and I'll let you guys know when I get it up and running!

The HOBBIT!

Hey guys! So, this past weekend The Hobbit came out in theaters (so exciting!).  Of course I went to the midnight premiere of the IMAX 3D version. I love, love, love going to movie premieres. It's so much fun, even though to get a good seat you have to wait in line for hours and hours, sometimes in the cold or the rain. We waited for about 7 hours for this one, hahaha. But it's great, you get to hang out with friends or family, you meet new people, and you get great seats to awesome movies. And sometimes once you get in the theater they have prizes to giveaway.

In this case everyone who bought tickets to the IMAX 3D showing got this wicked set of four posters! Which I'm planning on framing and hanging up together.

And in honor of the movie, I decided to paint my nails with the script from the one ring. I've seen it done a billion times on the internet and I've wanted to try it out for so long.

Anyway, I had so much fun and the movie was great. I cannot wait for the next two!

Weekly Nail!

Snappy Sorbet and smokey quartz glitter!
Here are my nails this week.  So as far as cheap nail polishes go, Sally Hansen Insta-Dry is by far my favorite polish.  Every color I've tried has been so opaque that I only need one coat, plus it really does dry fast.  It's awesome, haha. And it's only about $4!!

Anyway, what I did here was a coat (only one!) of this polish in Snappy Sorbet and let it dry.
Then one nail at a time, I applied a coat of clear polish and, using a paint brush, added the gold glitter to the wet clear polish.
(You could also use a glitter polish, I just didn't have any at the time.)
Then just apply a final coat of clear polish and you are done!

Hello!

Hi! My name is Kira and I just wanted to start this blog off telling you guys a little bit about myself.

First of all, my favorite thing in the world is my family.  I love them so much and I am always with them.  At twenty-two, I am the oldest of four. And I cannot wait to start a family of my own. :)

I also own my own cake decorating company that my mom and I run together.  We are called Incredibly Edible and we have been in business for almost two years now.  Right now we are working out of our home, but our ultimate goal is to some day have a shop.

I love DIYs, painting my nails, fashion, make-up, hair styles, new and yummy recipes, cake decorating, and getting a bargain.  So be prepared to see all of these things on my blog.  I hope you'll like what I have to show you. :))
