In a galaxy far, far away...

I painted my nails. ;)
Last night I decided I wanted to try out galaxy nails, so I found a tutorial here: BeautyLish.com.
It is a really great tutorial and totally easy to do. You just need a few different polishes.
I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in White On, this blue shade of Ultra Pro (the label with it's name has fallen off, sorry), Revlon in Cherries in the Snow, Sally Hansen InstaDri in Uptempo Plum, and Pure Ice in Spit Fire. Just some colors I already had around. :)

chained and studded!

These are my newest nails. Black polish with gold chain, micro beads, studs, glitter, and red on the inside!! Love them! They are so bad ass, hahaha.

So I'm also a bit closer to selling some nails. I've got some painted and I've photographed them.  In fact I think I'm going to be able to list some tonight! I have about 10 of them completed. I'm so excited!!

More nails...

Hi! Sorry all my posts so far are nails, hahaha. But I just gave my nails a makeover last night and my sister too! I decided to file mine to a point and paint them with this blood red polish (bus stop crimson by orly). My mom says that they are dracula nails, haha. :)

These are my sisters nails that I did for her. Polka dots, stripes, and floral!

I've been thinking about opening a nail shop on etsy. I'm really excited about getting it started and I'll let you guys know when I get it up and running!

The HOBBIT!

Hey guys! So, this past weekend The Hobbit came out in theaters (so exciting!).  Of course I went to the midnight premiere of the IMAX 3D version. I love, love, love going to movie premieres. It's so much fun, even though to get a good seat you have to wait in line for hours and hours, sometimes in the cold or the rain. We waited for about 7 hours for this one, hahaha. But it's great, you get to hang out with friends or family, you meet new people, and you get great seats to awesome movies. And sometimes once you get in the theater they have prizes to giveaway.

In this case everyone who bought tickets to the IMAX 3D showing got this wicked set of four posters! Which I'm planning on framing and hanging up together.

And in honor of the movie, I decided to paint my nails with the script from the one ring. I've seen it done a billion times on the internet and I've wanted to try it out for so long.

Anyway, I had so much fun and the movie was great. I cannot wait for the next two!

Weekly Nail!

Snappy Sorbet and smokey quartz glitter!
Here are my nails this week.  So as far as cheap nail polishes go, Sally Hansen Insta-Dry is by far my favorite polish.  Every color I've tried has been so opaque that I only need one coat, plus it really does dry fast.  It's awesome, haha. And it's only about $4!!

Anyway, what I did here was a coat (only one!) of this polish in Snappy Sorbet and let it dry.
Then one nail at a time, I applied a coat of clear polish and, using a paint brush, added the gold glitter to the wet clear polish.
(You could also use a glitter polish, I just didn't have any at the time.)
Then just apply a final coat of clear polish and you are done!
